FLASH FICTION FINITIES: PRIMALIS

PRIMALIS is a collection of interconnected short stories that chronicle the early life and rise of the Inventor before the birth of the Infinities. Each story centers on one of his revolutionary creations, exploring the cost of innovation and the unintended consequences of progress. 

The anthology begins on Primal Earth 1, where the Inventor is an ambitious technologist driven by curiosity and possibility. Over time, he introduces breakthroughs that reshape civilization: sustainable energy cores, self-repairing materials, dimensional mapping prototypes, and experimental engines that bend the limits of physics. With each invention, society advances but a powerful global entity known as Clear Fire quietly expands alongside him, acquiring patents, consolidating power, and embedding itself into the infrastructure of progress. 

Midway through the collection, the Inventor unveils BioGrade, a biodegradable super-material capable of replacing metals, plastics, and synthetic compounds. Unlike his previous inventions, BioGrade is released with minimal restriction, threatening Clear Fire’s monopolistic control. Tensions escalate as Clear Fire begins maneuvering to contain or weaponize his work. 

The final story in the collection introduces the Inventor’s most ambitious creation: the Light Speed Light Rail, a multiversal transport machine designed to explore beyond the known limits of reality. When activated, the Rail successfully breaches dimensional barriers but instead of discovering infinite thriving universes, the Inventor finds emptiness. 

World after world appears lifeless and destroyed. Across the ruins of space, one name repeatedly appears: Clear Fire. 

As he travels deeper into cosmic silence, the Light Rail malfunctions and drifts into a realm beyond measurable space. There, the Inventor encounters an ancient presence known as The Void of Creation the primordial source from which all Infinities can be born. The Void reveals that nearly all natural Infinities have already been erased, leaving only one surviving natural Infinity: Primalis. 

Faced with extinction-level reality collapse, the Inventor is given knowledge that changes everything. The Void teaches him how to create pocket Infinities self-contained realities that, once cast into the Void, become eternal and unalterable. 

Primalis concludes with the Inventor making a defining choice: if reality cannot be saved, it must be rebuilt. 

The final image is not of exploration but of creation.
